Structural framing
The skeleton your renovation depends on
Opening a kitchen to the living room, adding a second storey or finishing a basement all start with framing. Get the structure wrong and every trade after it pays for the mistake.
Our founder holds a B.Tech in civil engineering and a BCIN design qualification, so loads, beams, headers and point loads are worked out before a single wall comes down. Where the Ontario Building Code calls for a structural engineer, we bring one in and build to their stamped design.

FAQ
Common questions
Do I need a permit to remove a wall?
Removing or altering a load-bearing wall needs a building permit in Ontario. We prepare the drawings, apply and book the framing inspection.
How do I know if a wall is load-bearing?
We check joist direction, what sits above and the structure below during the free site visit, and confirm it on the drawings before any work starts.
Can you frame a basement for a legal second unit?
Yes. We frame to the fire separation, ceiling height and egress requirements a legal unit needs, then finish it.
